WeShine is an application for people across your organisation to record their skills and discover the skills of their peers. From an organisational perspective, you can gain valuable insights into the strong and weak areas. This also enables you to identify any risk areas, ie. where a critical skill is known only by a single person. Having this insight gives you the opportunity to "lotto proof" or load share this skill by conducting training and/or over-the-shoulder activities. Additionally, you could conduct a knowledge transfer to capture this knowledge into a structured template for handovers when staff change.
You (the administrator) can define any types of skills that align with your organisation: soft skills, management skills, IT, corporate, trade...as you start with a blank slate, you simply add the skills that make sense for you. When staff register and complete their profile, they will be able to select from these to add to their profile.
